The solution for inspecting mechanical properties in complex geometries and treatments at great depths.

LINQ is developing a new solution for non-destructive testing (NDT).

LINQ is developing a new solution for non-destructive testing (NDT).

At LINQ, we never stop. Together with our technology partner, we have developed a solution for evaluating mechanical properties such as hardness, case depth, and residual stresses in heat-treated components. The solution is specifically designed for parts with complex geometries and deep heat treatment applications.”

Until now, non-destructive inspection of heat treatments has been limited in depth. With this solution, LINQ’s customers can save hundreds of thousands of euros per year by verifying the quality of their parts without destroying them. This capability introduces a new paradigm in the inspection of such components, enabling 100% part inspection — a significant shift from the current practice, where parts are verified statistically, once per shift, per day, or even per week, exposing manufacturers to considerable risk in the event of a faulty treatment.

This solution also drastically reduces inspection costs by eliminating the need to scrap parts. One LINQcase customer estimated the cost of destructive testing at €100,000 per production line per year — costs that this development will help eliminate.

This technology has been developed in collaboration with the Ceit research center, a member of BRTA, within the framework of the CONTRAT project, which has been funded through the Hazitek program for industrial research and experimental development projects by the Basque Government.
