{"id":10694,"date":"2023-04-13T12:02:03","date_gmt":"2023-04-13T10:02:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lagencia.me\/a-system-for-the-characterization-of-residual-stresses-in-the-steel-industry\/"},"modified":"2025-10-03T14:39:23","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T12:39:23","slug":"a-system-for-the-characterization-of-residual-stresses-in-the-steel-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/linqcase.com\/en\/a-system-for-the-characterization-of-residual-stresses-in-the-steel-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"A system for the characterization of residual stresses in the steel industry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This solution will reduce up to 560 tCO2\/year per line<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">LINQ continues to expand its range of advanced inspection solutions for the industrial sector.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">In this context, and in collaboration with its partners CEIT and SIDENOR, LINQ is developing a system for the characterization of residual stresses in turned steel bars. This is a research initiative through which LINQ aims to develop an initial prototype of a non-destructive inspection system. The ultimate objective of this research line is the development of fully integrated in-line equipment capable of inspecting 100% of the bar production in the steel manufacturing process.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">This project will contribute to environmental improvements in the steelmaking process by eliminating the stress-relief treatment and reducing the tempering treatment by 50%. It is estimated that these optimizations will lead to a reduction of 562 tons of CO\u2082 emissions per year. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">Additionally, this solution will enable increased productivity and a reduction in the rejection rate due to residual stresses in steel bar production lines.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px\">This technology has been developed in collaboration with the Ceit research center, a member of BRTA, within the framework of the TENMAG project, which has been funded by the Hazitek program for industrial research and experimental development projects of the Basque Government.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This solution will reduce up to 560 tCO2\/year per line<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":11078,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[77],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10694","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 -
